We arrived in Paris this afternoon on the TGV (the high speed train) from Luzern and got here around 300 pm. This city is HUGE but incroyable. Our hotel is on Rue Cler which is a pedestrian only street with lots of cafes and small stores. Our hotel is about 5 blocks away from the Eiffel Tower and so of course we had to go see it. Apparently the top level was closed today so we didnt go up but dont worry we will before the trip is over.
We had an early dinner of cheese wine and veal then headed to Marais, near Notre Dame and the Picasso museum where there are small shops and boutiques however they were all closed:. The architecture is incredible and very beautiful. i have tried so many different beers here in Europe that im actually beginning to like it. OH my i know ; ). After we had a few beers we walked the Siene towards Notre Dame but have chosen to wait until we have time tomorrow on our tour of the city to go see it.
The metro system is very efficient but out of control hott. We were sweating just sitting there when it was really crowded.
Bon Soir!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
